Pursuant to the provisions of Article 90 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Sudan for the year 1998 AD, the President of the Republic issued and the National Assembly approved the following temporary decree:
introductory provisions
The name of the law and its commencement
1- This temporary decree shall be called “Environment Protection Law for the year 2001 AD” and shall come into force from the date of its signing.
Cancellation and exception
2- The Law of the Supreme Council for Environment and Natural Resources of 1991 repeals, provided that they remain in effect, all regulations and measures taken pursuant to it until they are repealed or amended in accordance with the provisions of this law.
