This law aims at the following:
- Protection of wild animals and preservation of national parks and hunting areas,
- Optimum utilization and development of wildlife resources,
- Implementation of the Agreement on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Animals and Plants of 1973,
- Providing information on wildlife resources and their distribution inside and outside Sudan Encouraging scientific research on wild animals and their pens.
This law shall be called the "National Fishing and Barns Protection Act of 1986".
